Emma started riding in western disciplines at the age of 5 in Rockford, Illinois. At the age of 10 she found a love for the English disciplines, particularly hunter under saddle. She trained and competed western pleasure and hunter under saddle for 5 years until her move to Tennessee in 2014. Upon moving to Chattanooga and finding her place at Scenic City Equestrian Center, she found a passion for the Hunter/Jumper and Eventing disciplines. Under the instruction of Caitlin Kennedy and Melinda Hogan, as well as regular clinics with Michael Pollard , Emma's focus is currently in Eventing and she continues to train with her OTTB Irish. Last year she was accepted into a working student position in Ocala, Florida. Upon her return to Chattanooga, Emma accepted a position at an elementary school as a reading interventionist. Finding her calling in working with kids, Emma is continuing her education in child psychology at UTC in the Fall of 2021.
