Heidi graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in History and a minor in Horticulture. She has been riding for over thirty years and is a graduate of the United States Pony Club (USPC), a member of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), a member of the American Vaulting Association (AVA), and a member of Path, International, where she is certified as an instructor for therapeutic riding and vaulting. Heidi is also a member of the Friendship Vaulting Team, and in 1995 earned a silver medal and participated in the 1996 Olympics.
She has been competitive in numerous regional and national shows, both vaulting and riding. Heidi has had multiple areas where training was obtained to work with suicide and crisis intervention and multicultural awareness with youth and teens. She is knowledgeable with mental health as it relates to therapeutic riding, specializing in children and adults who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, and autism.
Heidi is able to use creative skills in a multitude of areas such as programming, creating interventions, and educating others. Currently PATH certified. Heidi’s background not only includes competing but teaching in dressage, hunter, jumpers, eventing and games/gymkhana.
