Madison was born and raised in Hopkins County, Kentucky and began formal equestrian training at age 5. Coached by Frances Green, co-founder of the Western Kentucky Saddlebred Association, Madison showed Saddle Seat English throughout her adolescence.
During her decade out of the saddle, she earned a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and established a career in the music industry. On an off day of a business trip in Wyoming, she took a trail ride through the Teton Valley led by a seasoned old cowpoke and hasn’t spent much time away from horses since then. Enamored by the gentleness and horse-and-rider partnership focus of the vaquero traditions, Madison has been formally studying natural horsemanship handling and riding techniques since June 2019.
Madison began volunteering with the SCEC Therapeutic Riding Program in May 2020 and it quickly became an activity she looked forward to most. Madison is actively studying and on track to becoming a PATH Certified Riding Instructor and welcomes special needs and neurodivergent riders.
